This piece is a hand dyed and handwoven scarf in pure wool. The variegated grey and light teal skeins were dyed separately but they look like they were destined to be together. The simple plain weave shows off the variegation in the two skeins. I’ve used different shades of wool yarn in the weft to create a block effect and added a row of soumak at each end to add interest. It’s soft, drapey and sophisticated.
