This lovely little eatery in Selkirk’s Market Place keeps it simple, specialising in sharing platters of cheese and charcuterie along with brunches.
What we like:
Tibbie’s is everything that’s good about small restaurants. It’s all about good sourcing, great presentation and realistic pricing. Also, the food’s delicious.
The menu is simple, it doesn’t overcomplicate, but the accompaniments to the cheese board are well thought out and everything works perfectly. Desserts are divine.
They're regularly adding to their offering with new items appearing on the menu all the time, including delicious tapas including chorizo in wine, patatas bravas and baked camembert.
We went to try out the cheese sharing platter - and the gin. They were superb. They’ve now added brunch too, same simple high quality formula.
It’s a great addition to the town: Selkirk is rapidly becoming a hub for great independent businesses at the heart of the Scottish Borders.

Tibbie's can also offer a personal chef experience at The Five Turrets - contact them for details.
