Tree-climbing, tomahawk throwing and a world of adventure.
What we like:
It's something that involves getting the kids outside and off computer games. Drop them off at one of The Wild Outdoors day camps where they'll climb trees and have an adventure, while you go off to do something they'd hate. Or join in the fun yourself. Everyone loves tomahawk throwing.
In their own words:
"From morning drop off to afternoon pick up we take care of everything your young adventures will need. We provide scrummy freshly prepared breakfasts, lunch and snacks throughout the day, and of course dinner and fireside hot chocolate for those staying over.
Our vision is to spread the joy and wonder of the outdoors, giving children the chance to be immersed in a world that is full of adventure and excitement. At the same time instilling children with skills that they can take with them for their journey through life.
Activities range from fire lighting, wild cooking, archery, shelter building to tree climbing, kite making, woodland scavenger hunts and buggy builds."
Good to know:
They'll put together a bespoke package and travel to the location of your choice. They're working on other adventures too, so it's worth keeping an eye on their website.
