A scenic hike around the Bowhill estate, taking in Newark Castle.

Start from the car park at Bowhill. Head up through the trees, and fork right up a well marked path.

Follow the path up to a gate and go through. The path continues to climb and loops round to the right along the side of the hill.

Go through a five bar gate on the left and then take the path ahead to another gate, go through it and head downhill through the forest. The path passes Newark Castle before returning to the car park.
